Some more furniture for the palace ....

I've made up a couple more items for the palace, a pair of side tables and a four poster bed.

These were made mostly out of plasticard and plus some some round sprue and oddments from my 'offcuts box'.

Some furniture for the palace ....

I've made up some furniture for the palace over the weekend; I've sourced a bed, mirror, dressing table, two chairs, tallboy and wardrobe from Petite Properties 1/48 range - these are bit fiddly to assemble but work fine with 28mm/30mm fig; shown below .....
Also got out the plastic 1/48 furniture I already had already and did a quick comparison - good match selection shown below
the plastic sets are manufactured by Aztec Minaitures (one place you can buy from is here). Will be painting up the new furniture and also the plastic sets stuff as well.

Wittenberg Palace - Exterior Improvements

The King arrived back from inspecting the uhlans at Faustenburg and found that the works to enhance the front elevation of the palace had been completed...
The King enjoyed a small concert from the massed guards band before dinner ....
[some decorative stonework has been added to improve the look of the palace - for its original plain look see earlier post. The changes were done using some carefully cut sections from Metcalfe OO/HO paving; I've also updated the banner picture at the top of the blog page]

Wittenberg - the Uhlans assemble ...

The Uhlans have been ordered to muster at Faustenberg, to the northwest of Heidelheim in the province of Upper Belgravia, where they will be inspected by the King before they take up duties patrolling the border with Monrovia.

---oXo---
Uhlans from the red pulk have left their quarters and are heading towards Schwenk ...

just outside Schwenk the red pulk converges ...
and then trot towards the town,
after clattering through the streets of Schwenk they join up with the blue pulk who had come a different route ....
The Uhlans ride across the low hills towards their destination....
They arrive arrive in the mid-afternoon, entering the valley in front of Faustenburg ...
The trumpeter from the Kings escort sounds the assembly ...
The Uhlans form up in front of the town of Faustenburg...
The King and Field Marshal inspect the Uhlans....
